Our subjects
Barnsley College has a huge range of study programmes available. You can choose from a range of study options, including:
- Vocational: these are practical courses such as BTEC Diploma/Certificates and T Levels. This hands‑on learning approach allows you to specialise in one subject and helps you develop real skills for employment, further study or career progression.
- Apprenticeships: allow you to earn while you learn.
- A Levels: are academic qualifications studied after GCSEs. Most students study three A Level subjects over two years, allowing them to explore each subject in depth. A Levels are mainly assessed through exams, and are widely recognised by universities and employers across the UK and beyond.
- University-level courses: university‑level courses studied after A Levels, T Levels or vocational courses.
